The variety belongs to the Westerwoldicum type (westerwoldicum) and is one of the earliest among Italian varieties. The plant is of medium height, forms thin stems and leaves, has a good regrowth capacity, and shows full re-heading of inflorescences after the first cut.
Due to its morphology, the variety is intended primarily for forage purposes, in particular for the production of high-quality naturally dried hay. It is also suitable for silage preparation and inclusion in grass mixtures.
