The variety is a tetraploid form of Westerwold ryegrass with an alternative growth type. The plant has medium height, thin stems and leaves, and a medium-early flowering period.

The variety is resistant to lodging and frost. After the first cut, it demonstrates active regrowth and the ability to re-flower. The hay is characterized by low fiber content, high protein content, and rapid natural drying. The seeds are large and yellow.

The variety is intended for forage purposes, including the production of hay and biomass in pure stands or mixtures, and is also suitable for winter grazing. The breeding is based on crossing ecotypes from Central Italy and varieties from the United States.
