The variety is a diploid (2n) representative of the species Lolium multiflorum. The genetic base of the variety is formed by a combination of the parental forms (NFG x Barwoldi) x Asso. In classifications, it is characterized as a very early or early variety.

The plant is an intensive grass with a rapid growth rate and the ability to form a dense sward. It shows good regrowth capacity after the summer period. The variety is demanding in terms of moisture and heat conditions, and possesses lower winter hardiness than perennial ryegrass.

The variety is intended for the establishment of highly productive hay-pasture swards and is often used in mixtures, including those with legumes. It is used for producing green mass, hay, or silage in intensive forage production.
