The variety belongs to the tetraploid forms of the species Lolium multiflorum. It is characterized as a fast-growing forage crop used in international breeding and testing programs.

During the studies, the variety was compared with other varieties based on palatability for cattle. There is data on the effect of cultivating the variety on the population of Helicotylenchus dihystera nematodes in the soil as part of crop rotation.
