The variety was obtained by selection from progeny formed as a result of open pollination. Its pedigree includes the varieties Breakout, Attitude, Madrone, and Fade.
The ryegrass belongs to the turf type and is intended primarily for overseeding on areas with warm-season grasses to maintain the decorative quality of the cover during the winter period.
The plant differs from traditional varieties by a darker green color and low, compact growth. The breeding of the variety was focused on increasing resistance to stem rust infection.
