The variety was developed via phenotypic and genotypic selection based on 13 selected plants, including genetic material from the varieties Alloy, AllStar 3, Coda, Green Supreme, Stellar 3GL, Slugger 3GL, and populations from Rutgers University. It belongs to the mid-late maturity group.
The plant is distinguished by its dark green leaf color and high turf density. The variety is characterized by vigorous spring regrowth, high resistance to dollar spot, as well as the ability to withstand low mowing and intense foot traffic.
It is intended exclusively for turf establishment and is often used for overseeding existing sites due to its rapid germination. Use as an agricultural forage crop is not supported.
