The festulolium variety «Allegro» is a hybrid of perennial ryegrass and meadow fescue. It is characterized by high forage and seed productivity, winter hardiness, resistance to lodging, and active tillering. This variety possesses increased resistance to snow mold and leaf spot diseases compared to perennial ryegrass.

The name «Allegro» is also encountered in relation to Italian ryegrass in mixtures and is occasionally mentioned in catalogs as a perennial ryegrass variety. However, for perennial ryegrass under this name, there are no detailed agronomic descriptions of morphological traits in open sources.
