The variety Align (Align AR37) is a tetraploid perennial ryegrass with a very late heading date. The plant forms a dense sward with high tiller density and an upright growth habit, which is atypical for many tetraploids of this crop.
Due to the inclusion of the AR37 endophyte, the variety exhibits resistance to Argentine stem weevil, pasture mealybug, black beetle, and root aphid. Additionally, the variety is characterized by exceptional resistance to rust and good tolerance during the winter period and on wet soils.
The variety possesses high nutritional value and excellent palatability, which positively affects milk yields and livestock weight gains. The plant's ability to remain in the vegetative phase for a long time during the summer with low seed head formation allows for maintaining forage quality throughout the entire season.
