The variety is diploid (2n=14) and belongs to the forage type intended for grazing. In breeding, it is known as a basis for developing new varieties with improved characteristics and is often used as a control sample when studying genetic diversity and adaptability.
The plant is characterized by a late heading time. During studies, high digestibility of organic matter was recorded, and the variety's genetic material has contributed to progress in breeding the crop for resistance to crown rust.
In scientific experiments, the variety was studied in the context of adaptation to defoliation under grazing and mowing, as well as for resistance to stress factors, including aluminum toxicity in soil.
