The Elegana variety belongs to diploid perennial ryegrass varieties. It is included in the official catalog of varieties of agricultural plant species of the European Union and is used in the production of seed grass mixtures.

The variety is used in the creation of wear-resistant surfaces, such as professional lawns for golf courses. As a representative of the Lolium perenne species, it possesses the ability for rapid germination, formation of dense turf, and good response to mowing.
