The variety belongs to late-maturing types and is a diploid plant. During scientific research, variable indicators of this variety's susceptibility to crown rust (Puccinia coronata) were recorded depending on growing conditions.

The Foxtrot variety of ryegrass is used as a fodder crop. It is used for the formation of pastures and forage lands for the purpose of obtaining green mass and hay.
