Variety description

10 August 2026

The Frances variety belongs to diploid perennial ryegrasses with an early heading and flowering time. The plant is capable of forming significant volumes of green mass at the beginning of the growing season, due to which the variety has historically been used to provide early spring livestock grazing.

In agronomic studies, this variety was often used as a standard or control sample when evaluating the productivity of forage lands and animal weight gain indicators. The variety is intended for the creation of pasture areas and for forage production purposes.
