The variety belongs to diploid (2n) forms of perennial ryegrass. It was intended for use in grass mixtures for forage purposes, including pasture and hay use.
The variety was tested for resistance to the rust pathogen Puccinia coronata f. sp. lolii. It does not belong to modern self-repairing varieties of the RPR type.
