The Malone variety belongs to the intermediate maturity group and is tetraploid. It forms tall, open swards, which are characterized by high productivity of silage mass and excellent growth rates in the spring period and at the end of summer.
The plant has high feed quality, assessed by the digestibility of organic matter (D-value). The variety is intended for agricultural use, including livestock grazing and silage harvesting. It was also used as a parent component in the creation of the Fintona variety.
