The variety is a diploid plant forming dense tussocks with succulent, smooth, medium-sized leaves. Sward height reaches 30–60 cm. Under New Zealand conditions, it is classified as an early heading variety, with heading occurring at the end of October.

The plant possesses good adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions and is resistant to intensive grazing. The peak of productivity occurs in late winter and early spring; maximum yields are achieved on soils with medium to high fertility levels.

The variety is used for forage purposes and is characterized by high palatability for livestock. The plants contain endophytes that increase resistance to pests. In cold winter conditions, the variety may exhibit insufficient winter hardiness.
