The «Soriento» variety is classified as late-maturing. Regarding its biological characteristics, it is a diploid variety.
The plant is used primarily in forage production, in particular, in mixtures for evaluating yield and nutritional value of silage. It is also used as a model object in experimental research for evaluating response to fertilizers.
