The Stefani variety is diploid (2x) and belongs to the mid-season group of plants. It was bred from European breeding material represented by full-sib families.

In agricultural production, the variety is used for establishing pastures and hayfields. During field and scientific trials, it demonstrates high green mass yield under intensive management methods.
