The variety belongs to diploid ryegrasses with an intermediate flowering time. In agricultural practice, it has been used as a control variety when conducting comparative productivity trials of grasses.

The plant is intended for forage purposes, including grazing and haymaking use. The variety has often been used in pure stands or in grass mixtures with white clover to evaluate the productivity of dairy cattle and sheep farming.
