The Tharon variety is a tetraploid (4n) early-maturing variety. It combines the high productivity inherent to hybrid ryegrass with such qualities of perennial ryegrass as longevity, high digestibility, and good palatability for farm animals.

The plant possesses vigorous development and density, which ensures high-quality vegetation cover and competitiveness against weeds. The variety is intended for creating forage grass mixtures for long-term and medium-term use, suitable for mowing, grazing, as well as silage and haylage harvesting.
