The variety is the result of crossing Italian ryegrass and perennial ryegrass, combining the characteristics of both species. It belongs to the early-maturing crop group.
Under Latvian climate conditions, the variety showed low winter hardiness, which led to crop loss during adverse weather conditions. It is used for hay production and livestock grazing in intensive agriculture.
