The variety combines the turf quality characteristic of perennial ryegrass with the germination speed and transitional properties typical of annual ryegrass. Its primary purpose is to create temporary turf cover and for winter overseeding on areas with bermudagrass.
With the onset of spring warmth, the plants of this variety quickly cease vegetation, which frees up space for warm-season grasses and prevents excessive competition. Studies note high susceptibility of this variety to the disease known as Rapid Blight.
