Variety description

The plant is a densely branched shrub 50–60 cm tall, which is maintained at a level of 20–30 cm with formative pruning. Leaves are small, lanceolate or oval, 6–16 mm long, with smooth edges. Foliage color changes from bright green in the spring to a medium-green tone.

Flowering occurs in May–June; flowers are creamy-white, tubular, about 6 mm in size, and are often hidden by the foliage. If not pruned, small purple berries may form. The variety is frost-hardy (USDA zones 5–6) and resistant to fungal infections.

The shrub prefers moist, humus-rich, drained soils and can grow in sun or partial shade. Due to its ability to easily tolerate pruning, it is used in decorative gardening for creating geometric shapes, low hedges, and cultivation in containers.
