The VB Ugniai variety is characterized by intensive growth at all stages of development and high resistance to fungal infections. It was specialized by breeders as a crop for green manure production.
Within the breeding process for this type of lupin lines, seed yield indicators were recorded in the range of 2.1–2.9 t/ha with a growing season duration of 82 to 98 days.
