The variety Iryd was created by hybridizing a spontaneous early mutant with the sample Refusa Nowa. The plant is characterized by a rapid initial growth rate and good lodging resistance.

The variety possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt and viral diseases, with viral infection not being transmitted through seeds. Due to its nitrogen-fixing ability and high protein content, the variety is used for forage purposes and for improving soil structure.

In modern scientific literature, the variety often appears as genetic material or as an object for comparative physiological and biochemical studies of seed composition.
