The Erma variety was obtained by selecting open-pollinated seedlings. The plant is intended for the establishment of industrial plantations; the possibility of using its leaves as raw material for functional nutrition and food additives has also been investigated.

Plants of the variety demonstrate a high level of chlorogenic acid in the leaves, which provides antibacterial and antimutagenic properties. The fruits contain a complex of phenolic acids and flavonoids. An in vitro mass micropropagation protocol has been developed for this variety.

The variety is considered drought-tolerant and capable of growing on various soil types. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as precise shrub dimensions or yield indicators, are not provided in open publications.
