The Bay 4210 variety, known under the trade name Sonnenglanz, belongs to winter varieties. The fruit harvest takes place at the end of September. Externally, the apples have a citron-yellow color, and in terms of taste characteristics, they are distinguished by an aromatic profile with a delicate citrus acidity.

The fruits possess good keeping quality, retaining their consumer properties until April, and longer when stored in a controlled atmosphere. An important feature of the variety is the low content of the Mal d 1 protein, which makes the fruits suitable for consumption by people with birch pollen allergies.
