The variety is traditional for Slovenia and has a number of synonyms, including Gorenjska voščenka, Kranjska voščenka, and Voskovača. The tree is distinguished by high winter hardiness, endurance, and moderate resistance to scab.

The fruits are large, round-flat in shape, and often asymmetric. When ripening, the skin becomes golden-yellow with a reddish blush. The flesh is firm, juicy, white or yellowish, with a pronounced acidity after harvest, which decreases during storage.

The variety is of universal use, suitable for fresh consumption, culinary processing, and juice production. The harvest is collected in mid-October, and the fruits retain their properties until spring.
