The Roter Bellefleur variety, which has the synonym Bonbonnier, is considered very old, and its origin is associated with the Netherlands. The first descriptions in literature date back to approximately 1760.

The tree of this variety is characterized as an undemanding and very resistant plant with high vigor. It is a winter variety whose fruits have good keeping quality and belong to the table and utility type of use.

A feature of the variety is late flowering. The fruits are suitable for various purposes.
