The variety was bred in the second half of the 19th century by breeder J. E. Proshe. The trees are medium-sized and have a characteristic crown shape in the form of a narrow funnel. The variety has good general resistance to diseases and is suitable for various cultivation zones.
Fruits are medium-sized, flattened in shape. The skin is yellow with a red blush and stripes; radiant russeting is possible in the basin area. The flesh is yellow, aromatic, moderately juicy, and prone to mealiness when overripe. Harvest occurs at the end of August; the fruits keep until November.
