Variety description

The variety is a bud mutation of the Jonagold variety and is characterized by trees with medium vigor. As a triploid variety, it requires two pollinator varieties for full fruit bearing.

The fruits are large in size and range in shape from conical to slightly flattened. The skin color is intense, bright red, sometimes with stripes. The fruit flesh is juicy and crisp, cream or white in color, and has a sweet taste with a slight acidity. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-October, and keeping quality is maintained until March.

The variety is characterized by high susceptibility to the main diseases of the crop, including scab, powdery mildew, and canker. In terms of crown formation type, the variety does not practically differ from the original Jonagold.
