Fruits of the «Dukát» variety possess yellowish flesh with a coarse-grained structure and a sweet taste with a slight honey undertone. The variety belongs to the dessert category, and its fruits can also serve as pollinators for other apple varieties, such as «Boskoop».

There is a mutation of this variety called «Dukát Spur Type», which is distinguished by larger fruits. According to SSR-analysis data, the variety is not a descendant of «Golden Delicious».
