The tree is of medium vigor with a rounded crown. The variety is considered precocious; entry into fruiting occurs in the 3–5 year. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness and the ability for regular fruiting, although periodicity of yield is sometimes noted.

Fruits are of medium or above-medium size, round or slightly oblong in shape, often ribbed. The ground color of the skin is from whitish-yellow to greenish-yellow, covered with bright red stripes and speckles. The flesh is cream-yellow, juicy and tender, with a sweet-and-sour taste, prone to mealiness when overripe.

The variety is of universal use, suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing. Harvest maturity occurs in August; the fruits are not intended for long-term storage (up to 1 month). Relatively resistant to scab, although possible susceptibility to fire blight is noted.
