The variety is a mutation (clone) of the 'Fuji' apple variety and is mentioned in a number of documents in the context of hybridization with Malus × robusta. The fruit crop is intended for commercial cultivation and is distinguished by early coloring, which occurs several days before the harvest of the standard 'Fuji' variety.

The fruits have crisp, juicy flesh and a very sweet taste, and feature a uniform, diffused dark red blush. The tree is characterized by rapid onset of fruiting and a reduced tendency to alternate bearing.
