The variety is a spur-type cultivar characterized by a compact growth habit and the formation of fruit buds predominantly on spurs. The fruits have a firm, glossy skin of a bright cherry-red color; their flavor profile and appearance are similar to the "Starkrimson Delicious" variety.

The trees are prone to annual bearing, with an early-to-mid flowering period. The variety is susceptible to scab and rust, and is also characterized by high susceptibility to fire blight.
