The Rosmerta apple variety is characterized by moderate tree vigor, the presence of a strong central leader, and a spreading canopy of medium density. Fruiting occurs on spurs and long shoots; the variety is precocious.

The fruits have an average weight of about 155 grams and ripen in the third ten-day period of September. The variety possesses complex resistance to apple scab, powdery mildew, and moderate resistance to fire blight.

The fruits are intended for fresh consumption and are also suitable for processing into juices and concentrates due to their high pectin and polyphenol content.
