The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 2.5–3 meters, and up to 2 meters on semi-dwarf rootstocks. The crown is spreading, prone to branch drooping under crop load. The variety is characterized by high resistance to major diseases, including scab, and tolerates frosts down to -34°C.

Fruits weighing 150–190 g have dark red skin and unusual pink or red flesh, which oxidizes slowly when cut. The flavor of the fruits is sweet and sour with a pronounced berry aroma. Harvesting maturity occurs in late July or August.

The variety is intended for fresh consumption, as well as use in cooking, juice production, and confectionery, where the decorative flesh color is important. Genetically, the variety traces back to the Malus niedzwetzkyana material.
