The rootstock was bred in Poland at the Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture. In terms of vigor on fertile soils, it is similar to the M.9 rootstock, providing a significantly smaller tree size and good productivity.

The plant possesses winter hardiness, and the anchorage of the trees is rated as similar to M.9. At the same time, the rootstock is sensitive to short-term drought, is prone to woolly apple aphid infestation, and requires sufficient irrigation to maintain fruit size.
