The fruits of this variety have a pronounced bell shape, which becomes less distinct in smaller specimens. When ripening, they acquire a greenish-yellow color, sometimes with a slight reddish hue on the sunny side. The taste is characterized as distinctly tart.

The variety is late-ripening, with maturation occurring in mid-October. The fruits store well, are suitable for transport, and are resistant to mechanical damage. It is recommended to graft the trees onto generative rootstocks, which ensures their longevity and vigorous growth.

The variety is intended for cultivation in traditional extensive meadow orchards and home gardens. It is known in Europe under a multitude of synonyms, including Altländer Glockenapfel, Glockenapfel, Pomme Cloche, Schweizer Glockenapfel, Weisser Winterglockenapfel and Zvonkove.
