The plant is a liana with woody stems and large glossy dark green leaves. Depending on growing conditions and the availability of support, shoots can reach from 2 to 6 meters in length; however, in container cultivation, the size of the plant is limited by the volume of the pot and pruning.

The funnel-shaped flowers have a diameter of 7–12 cm. Their color varies from deep pink to dark red, becoming more intense at temperatures above 29°C. The variety is characterized by high heat tolerance but does not tolerate sub-zero temperatures, requiring conditions of hardiness zones 10–11.

The plant is valued for its prolonged flowering, which under favorable conditions continues from spring to winter. All parts of the Mandevilla contain white milky sap, which has toxic properties and can cause skin irritation.
