Variety description

The plant forms a symmetrical rosette of wide, arcuately curved leaves. The light green leaves are covered with a thick waxy bloom, giving them a silver-gray hue, through which blue-violet spots may appear. The plant height is 20–25 cm with a diameter of up to 45 cm.
The leaf margins are equipped with pronounced but relatively soft rubbery teeth. At maturity, the plant produces a flower stalk 1.8–2.4 meters tall with bright yellow flowers. After flowering, the rosette can be replaced by new offsets at the base.
The variety prefers full sun and well-drained soils. The plant is resistant to damage by deer and rabbits. Temperature tolerance is limited to USDA zones 9–11, it withstands temperature drops down to -4...-5 °C, therefore in cold regions it is grown in containers.
