The Tamarac variety is characterized by a late ripening period, which in South African conditions falls in April-May. The origin of the variety is linked to natural cross-pollination of the Heidi and Sensation varieties.
The fruits of this variety are of medium size. The fruit color varies from green to pale red, with a characteristic feature being the retention of a predominantly green skin color even when reaching full maturity.
