The variety has a dormancy class of 4.0, which ensures good adaptation to temperate climate conditions. The plant possesses high resistance to Verticillium wilt and anthracnose, and also demonstrates excellent frost tolerance.

Barmelie is a highly productive variety intended for the production of hay, silage, and use as fresh green fodder. When sowing seeds, it is possible to use polymer matrix coating technology with rhizobia to optimize nitrogen fixation and the rooting process.
