The variety is intended for cultivation for hay, haylage, or pasture use. In a number of agronomic studies, the variety is characterized as having high resistance to diseases: bacterial wilt, Fusarium wilt, Phytophthora root rot, anthracnose, and Verticillium wilt.
The variety was mentioned in cultivar testing reports in the USA in the mid-1990s, where it was used as one of the test samples or a control variant for assessing crop adaptability. Today it is considered obsolete.
