The Diablo Verde variety demonstrates high resistance to soil and irrigation water salinization, which has been confirmed by a series of greenhouse experiments. Under field conditions at some experimental stations, the variety showed a level of adaptation lower than that of a number of other compared samples.
The variety is intended for forage use, including the production of hay, silage, or grazing. Detailed morphological descriptions of the plant and product quality indicators, such as protein content, are absent in open scientific publications.
