Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is characterized as a “long-lived” type. It demonstrates high protein productivity, with protein yield in the fourth year exceeding that of the second and third years, surpassing the best local varieties. The stands are noted for excellent persistence and do not thin out for 4–5 years; the variety tolerates frequent mowing well.

The plant possesses good resistance to lodging and tolerance to Fusarium infection under field conditions. The level of winter hardiness and frost resistance is consistent with the best Hungarian varieties. The variety is drought-tolerant, although it is recommended for cultivation on irrigated land.

The primary purpose of the variety is the production of forage products, such as green mass and hay. Due to its productivity and longevity characteristics, the variety is suitable for establishing forage lands with a long service life.
