The main morphological feature of the variety is the multifoliate trait: instead of the standard three leaflets, plants form 5 to 7. The stems of the variety have an increased diameter and lower mechanical strength compared to standard trifoliate varieties.
The variety possesses improved forage qualities: crude protein content is 1.5% higher, with better digestibility and lower detergent fiber content. Under conditions of normal or excessive moisture, the variety exceeds analogues in dry matter yield.
For cultivation, a slightly reduced seeding rate is recommended, as increasing the distance between rows promotes a more pronounced manifestation of the multifoliate trait. The variety is being studied for resistance to rust, while high attractiveness of the stems to the alfalfa weevil has been noted.
