The variety is a low-growing perennial plant. The foliage height reaches 20 cm, the flower stalks grow up to 50 cm, making it one of the most miniature representatives of the species. The plant possesses a compact form.
Flowering begins at the end of summer, the inflorescences have a green-brown color. The crop prefers well-drained soils, can grow in sun or partial shade, possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4 and above. The plant is well-adapted for cultivation in containers.
