The Bachus variety is classified as a tobacco variety of the species Nicotiana tabacum L. In scientific research at the IUNG-PIB institute, this variety is used as a subject for studying the resistance of tobacco to potato virus Y.

Specific agronomic characteristics, such as plant height, maturity dates, or yield indicators, are not presented in public scientific reports. During testing, the variety demonstrated resistance to potato virus Y, showing no symptoms of the disease.
