The Barley 1344 variety, mentioned in Bulgarian scientific publications as Бърлей 1344, is classified as a Burley-type tobacco. It is a large-leaf tobacco intended for air curing.
During breeding studies, the variety's indices proved to be close to the characteristics of existing standards, which is why it did not receive the status of an independent variety. Nevertheless, it was considered as breeding material to improve the technological and chemical parameters of other tobacco varieties.
Detailed morphological descriptions, data on plant height, maturity dates, and disease resistance for this variety are absent in open scientific publications.
