Varieties of this type belong to small-leaf aromatic orientals. These are early- or mid-maturing plants with a height of 70 to 160 cm. The leaves are small or medium, soft, elastic, very sticky and resinous, with a thin midrib. The number of technical leaves per plant ranges from 20 to 33.

The plants are characterized by adaptability to mountainous conditions and drought tolerance. After curing, the leaves acquire a color ranging from light yellow to golden orange. Nicotine content varies from low (about 1%) to high (up to 4–4.5%), and the taste is described as mild and sweet.

DŽEBEL is used as an aromatic raw material. Due to its high essential oil content, it is added to tobacco blends to improve the aromatic properties of the smoke or used as a base for "mild" oriental blends.
